Voices to Achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals - A Multimedia Advocacy Workshop

Saturday, November 11, 2017 - 08:30 - 17:00
The Peel Chapter of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario in collaboration with the Nightingale Initiative for Global Health (NIGH) are pleased to host the "Voices to Achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals: A Multimedia Advocacy Workshop". The aim is to increase growing public awareness and impact upon a worldwide audience — who need to know, care about and, thus, drive global commitment to achieving health on a global scale. The as-of-yet untold ‘news’ stories of nurses and midwives — experts in achieving health at grassroots levels — are currently an untapped resource to impact upon the global public concern required to achieve health and a healthy society, locally and globally. This workshop aims to bring-together nurses and midwives to develop their ‘voices’ with multi-media / public-awareness skills and capacities — to become ‘citizen journalists and broadcasters.’
When: Saturday November 11th 2017 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Where: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton, Ontario, L6T 4B9 (Workshop held in Brampton and Caledon Rooms)
Cost: By donation at door. Must register online via Eventbrite.
Non-RNAO members welcome.
Register HERE by November 10th, 10:00am.
Refreshments will be provided for the length of the workshop and lunch is provided on Saturday.
See you there!
