You are invited to the GNAO Greater Hamilton Area Chapter’s Upcoming event titled: Success Stories During a Pandemic Part 2: Family Caregivers’ Journeys via Zoom on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada).
Please join us as we speak with caregivers about their experiences of caring for older adults during the pandemic. The event will be run informally and we encourage participants to share their stories as well!

Hello Greater Hamilton Area GNAO Members,
We are accepting applications for our chapter’s Education Fund and the deadline is extended to Friday, May 21.
You may apply for two categories of awards:
A) Individual Awards (up to $600)
Recipients will receive partial financial reimbursement for scholarly activities that are directly related to gerontological nursing practice. This could include:
- courses, seminars, certificate programs, attendance at conferences (e.g., CGNA Conference)
- course work at a recognized college or university where the topic is related to gerontological nursing practice – members may apply every two years for course funding, but priority will be given to first-time applicants.
- CNA Gerontological Nursing Certification Exam
(B) Funding for an educational program or resource (up to $600) that will benefit a group of individuals in a long term care or retirement home setting. This could include:
- A train-the-trainer workshop
- A video or toolkit
- A webinar series
