In Canada and around the world, March 26th is recognized as Purple Day, a day to increase awareness of epilepsy worldwide. This year, PedNIG is participating in Purple Day by focusing on epilepsy for the 3rd episode of our Pediatric Nursing Hot Topics Series. In this episode, we are pleased to present our guest speaker Vera Nenadovic, RN(EC), PhD, Nurse Practitioner at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Vera shares with us “everything you wanted to know about epilepsy and now you do,” from the pathophysiology of seizures, to treatment and management options, to the future of epilepsy treatment and monitoring.
