Nursing Scope Changes

Hello Algoma Chapter Members,

The RNAO-Sudbury Chapter is hosting a general meeting on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at 6:00 pm. We are invited!

The topic of focus includes the College of Nurses of Ontario to Extend the Scope of Practice of RPNs.

Dr. Irmajean Banjok, RN, MScN, PhD, the Senior Policy Analyst and past Director of the RNAO International Affairs & Best Practice Guidelines Program from RNAO Home Office will answer the following:

  • What are the similarities and differences between various scopes of practice?
  • What is being proposed for expanding the scopes of practice for NPs, RNs, and RPNs?
  • What does this mean for RNs working with other categories of nurses?
  • What is the RNAO’s perspective on the expansion of the scope for RPNs?

Timely updates will also be provided on the CNO expanded scope and other issues.

If you are interested in learning more about scopes of practice, please join us for this informative session with the Sudbury Chapter.

We are grateful that the virtual platform (as opposed to in-person meeting) allows for us all to be invited.

We hope you will join us.

Cheers,

RNAO Algoma Chapter Executive
